(note: this is mostly boring and quite lengthy, but I wanted to post all information for legitimacy of scam claim.) TT.net member Imney was selling a pair of turbos for a Nissan 300zx in the classifieds. Instead, he sent me one turbo, and when I contacted him, he indicated that he had them in two separate boxes strapped together. I called UPS, and they told me they recommend their customers ship them as two separate packages with two tracking numbers, since often two packages strapped together tend to separate, leaving one lost. I contacted imney again, and he said he was waiting for a call from UPS to "find" the lost package. Why would imney be waiting for them to call him back if what I purchased was delivered already? I waited a few days, and I emailed him back saying I was going to open a paypal claim if nothing was resolved, because I was beginning to wonder if imney was legitimate in the first place. I have saved all the emails, and I have specific phone conversations from imney telling me he shipped two turbos in two boxes that were strapped together. Now he's saying he only sold me one turbo, and he thinks I got a good deal and shouldn't complain. Well, I am complaining, as what I ordered was not delivered. I offered to send back the single turbo, which is no good to me by itself, for a full refund. I was scammed, and now he's trying to act like he pulled through on his end of the deal. At any rate, a paypal claim has been opened, and I believe I have sufficient evidence to support my claim. I've been scammed before, and I've learned from them. I did a background check, and he's been on tt.net a while and has plenty of hits in his profile. I haven't found any complaints against him, so that lead me to believe he was legit. Here is his post in classifieds:
Here are the emails: (note: some of the emails have to be viewed backwards, as his comes second but was in fact first, and my response is typed above it)

Here is what's happened in the Paypal dispute:
